According to the Minister of Health Ekaterine Tikaradze, clinics from different regions of Georgia will be involved in the process of infection control in order to prevent all infected people from being transferred to Tbilisi. She said this in response to a question from BM.GE, which referred to a recent statement made by the Minister, which involves the inclusion of 15 additional hospitals in the management of Covid.
According to Ekaterine Tikaradze, inclusion in the program of hospitals in the regions will be much safer for both patients and medical staff.
"We are looking at the constant redistribution of covid infection. The redistribution will be geographically equal; It will not only be localized in Tbilisi. Redistribution is important for the safety of patients as well as the staff who often have to transport patients from different regions and spend 4 hours indoors with the patient. It involves very big risks. So, the redistribution will definitely be equal and it is all written in the plan, "- said the Minister of Health.
According to the Minister of Health, 4639 places have been mobilized to receive those infected with the coronavirus. As she explained at today’s briefing, the base of the hospitals involved in the management of the Covid Pandemic is a resource to mobilize an additional 6616 beds."
