If the coronavirus positivity rate exceeds 4%, we will think on lockdown and tightening of COVID-restrictions, - Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze told public broadcaster 1TV.GE.

The health minister notes that there is a high risk to exceed the 4% coronavirus positivity rate.

“Our approach remains the same, if the coronavirus positivity rate exceeds 4%, we will consider announcement of lockdown and tightening of COIVD-related regulations. We are currently observing epidemiological conditions. Our current approach is to strengthen the monitoring of the existed COVID-regulations. Our goal is not to stop the business, as we see the downside risks”, - Ekaterine Tikaradze declared.

As of April 13, the coronavirus daily positivity rate is 3.03%, while the rate has been 2.56% for the last 12 days and 2.67% - for 7 days.
