"If we do not vaccinate, it will be a difficult November and the country will have to impose restrictive measures again," Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of the National Center for Disease Control, told InterPressNews.

According to him, the issue of the possible imposition of point restrictions will be discussed at the Coordination Council. As Amiran Gamkrelidze states, if the rate of vaccination does not increase, restrictions are expected to be imposed again.

"The main weapon today is vaccination. Unfortunately, the number of daily vaccinations has dropped, which is very bad. Therefore, we need to increase the vaccine rate. Tomorrow the vaccination marathon will start in the country and we will see how the population will react. We will monitor the situation. If we do not increase the number of vaccinations, then it will be a difficult November and the country will have to impose restrictive measures again, otherwise, the epidemic situation will not calm down," Gamkrelidze said.
