The Minister of Health does not rule out that wearing of face mask can become mandatory again. However, she notes, that the recommendation should be enough for citizens to manage their own behavior.
"I remember the first wave of the pandemic, when simple recommendations were made, and then I repeatedly said that there was an amazing unanimity and we all carried out the measures needed to overcome the pandemic. Today the ministry, the government team and each citizen have enough experience and knowledge about what is the most effective way to protect each other.
The obligation to wear a face mask can be discussed in this or that space, but I believe that when there is a recommendation, it is enough to guide our behavior and the recommendation is important for this stage, however, if we see that certain sanctions are necessary to increase the use of face mask, we agree that this is one of the good tools of protection, we will take it to the council for discussion and make a decision," - said the Minister.
