President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on the dismissal of Rovnag Abdullayev from the post of president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan SOCAR. Abdullayev occupied the position from 2005.

According to the document, the order came into force on February 10, 2021.

As of the consolidated report 2020, SOCAR assets total to 64 billion manat or USD 37.6 billion. The company earned a revenue of 50 billion manat (USD 29.4 billion) in 2020, while in 2019 the company received an income of 84 billion manat or USD 49.4 billion.
