In 6 Months, Wine Exports Exceeded 2019 Figures – Wine Agency

"Georgian wine exports are growing, positive dynamics are maintained in strategic markets as well" - the National Wine Agency says about Georgian wine exports.
 
According to the agency, in the first 6 months of 2021, 46.4 million bottles (0.75 l) of wine were exported from Georgia to 56 countries around the world, which is 13% more than the same indicator in 2020. Revenues from exported wine reach $104 million, up 7% from the same period last year.
 
This figure also exceeds the data of the period before the pandemic - in the first 6 months of 2019, 40.5 million bottles of wine worth $ 98 million were exported from Georgia.
 
According to the data of 6 months of the current year, the dynamics of the growth of Georgian wine exports in recent years is maintained: in Poland - 31% (2,864,152), in China - 10% (2,762,922), in Lithuania - 38% (245,940), in Latvia - 2% (809,106), in the USA - 35% (502,353), in Germany - 4% (364,459), in Estonia - 3% (348,538) and in the UK - 60% (283,830).
 
According to the agency, as a result of exports of wine, brandy, chacha, brandy alcohol and bottled brandy, $ 170 million was earned, which is 13% more than the same period last year.
