In January-July, Georgia’s Exports Reached a Record $ 2.27 Billion

According to the Geostat report, in January-July 2021, Georgia exported $ 2.27 billion worth of goods abroad, which is a record 7 months of exports. Compared to 2020, this volume of exports is 28.7% or $ 496 million more. Exports this year are $ 156 million, or 7.3% more than in 2019.
 
According to Geostat, along with exports, imports grew at a particularly high rate of 19.3% this year, (to $ 5.2 billion) which is also a record high for imports and is up by $ 842 million from the same period last year.
 
It is still unknown which goods imports and exports have increased. Geostat will publish detailed foreign trade statistics on August 19.
