Inflation in Kazakhstan will be within 8.7% in 2021, said the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
“Compared to the previous forecast, short-term inflation forecasts have not changed significantly. At the end of 2021, inflation is expected to be in the range of 8.5-8.7%,” reads the report, KAZTAG reports.
Under effective implementation of anti-inflationary response measures by the government and akimats for 2021-2024, inflation will form close to the lower border of the forecast range.
Accelerating growth in prices for non-food products and services will be counterbalanced by a slowdown in the growth of food prices.
The recovery growth of the economy will be 3.7-4% in 2021 year on year. The National Bank expects an acceleration of GDP growth rates to 3.9-4.2% in 2022.
