The Technical and Construction Supervision Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, together with the Labor Inspection Department of the Ministry of Health, has also started inspecting those companies that are engaged/ or are seeking the permission to engage in e-commerce.
According to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, about 260 businesses will be inspected during the nearest one week.
According to Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy of Georgia, as a result of the inspection, it will be verified whether companies can show that their operations meet safety standards and in this case they will be able to continue providing online shopping services.
The Ministries of Health and Economy will check whether the companies are properly implementing the recommendations regarding the health and safety of employees amid the coronavirus outbreak.
