Interest subsidy on mortgage loans has a partial mitigation effect on the policy, - said Koba Gvenetadze, president of the National Bank.

"Subsidizing the interest rate on mortgage loans has a partial mitigation effect on the policy, we have mentioned this before. Considering all this, there is a need for a strict monetary policy, and we will start to get out of this policy when the inflationary pressure is clearly reduced," Gvenetadze said.

According to the decision of the government, the parents of all children born from September 1 will get a subsidy if they buy an apartment with a mortgage loan.
