A total of 6,950,370 transactions, worth GEL 444,097, 000 were made by Georgians through internet during November 2020. The figure is 38% up, as compared to the prior month of 2020.
According to the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), number of transactions made through internet reached 6,950,370, GEL 444,097, 000 during November 2020, up from 5,038,732 units, GEL 335,471, 000 as of Oct 2020.
As for y-o-y comparison, in Nov 2020, the number of internet transactions has shown 64% growth in comparison with Nov 2019, when the figure stood at 4,245,130, worth GEL 299,160, 000.
The highest, or over 6 million number of transactions has been first fixed in July 2020, reaching 6,179,321 units, GEL 394,846, 000. The growth has also been witnessed during August 2020, 6,482,068 units, worth GEL 429,557,000. The reduction trend was shown in Sep 2020, while the number drop to 4,728,162, GEL 312,304, 000 and boosted again in Oct 2020, north of 5,038,732, or GEL 335,471, 000.
