"I consider political process as the main challenge, which impacts on the country's investment environment", Irakli Lekvinadze, head of the Competition Agency and a former business ombudsman told BM.GE after completing the presentation of Investment Promotion Strategy and Action Plan for 2020-2021.

According to Lekvinadze, stabilization of the political process and much communication with the investors are important for the stability of the investment environment in order to reduce risks.

“I consider political process as the main challenge, both inside the country as well as abroad. It has an impact on country's investment environment. These events should be stabilized and we must interact with investors in order to mitigate such risks. Ultimately, the national currency exchange rate depends on the investment activity and many other internal factors”, said the head of the Competition Agency.
