Israeli Ministry of Health Warns Public Against Traveling to Georgia

The Ministry of Health of Israel warns the public against traveling to a large number of destinations, including Georgia. In light of soaring infection rates around the world, the Ministry of Health advises the public against non-essential international travel at present time.
 
Yesterday, the Ministry of Health of Israel has published its updated list of destinations classified as destinations at maximum risk level, adding Argentina and Russia to it. These countries will be joining: Ukraine, Ethiopia, Brazil, South Africa, India, Mexico and Turkey.

Departure to these destination is subject to approval from the Exceptions Committee. All inbound passengers from these destinations, including recovered and vaccinated individuals, are required to go into home isolation upon arrival, in accordance with the Ministry of Health's protocols. Said protocols are effective through 13.6.2021 and will be extended as necessary according to the infection situation in each destination.  

“Seychelles Islands, Uruguay, Bolivia, the Maldives, Nepal, Paraguay, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica and Tunisia have been classified as destinations under grave travel warning due to their relatively high infection rates. These destinations may be included in the list of destinations at maximum risk level should it be found that sick individuals from these destinations have entered the State of Israel. Therefore, the public is called upon to make its traveling plans accordingly,” reads the statement. 
 
Furthermore, the Ministry of Health warns the public against traveling to a large number of destinations, including the following regions and destinations: Georgia, the Indian sub-continent, Africa, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, the Bahamas, Estonia, Equador, Bulgaria, Belgium, Belarus, Germany, the Philippines, Tanzania, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Egypt, Kenya, Croatia and Rwanda.
 
As of May 31, Georgia has confirmed 343,963 cases of the novel coronavirus. 327,618 patients recovered and 4,773 died. 
 
According to the Georgian health authorities, a total of 138,914 persons have received at least a single dose of coronavirus vaccine since Georgia initiated vaccine rollout on March 15. In the meantime, 26,101 persons have been fully vaccinated.
