European Council President Charles Michel said after a meeting with Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili that at such a difficult time, it is important for the ties between the EU and Georgia to be clear and tangible to the Georgian people.
As he noted, the Council of Europe wants to express support for the strengthening of ties between Georgia and the European Union.
"You know my personal attitude and involvement towards Georgia. I tried my best to support you for stability in your country, for economic and democratic reforms in Georgia. We, together with the European Commission and the European Parliament, would like to express our clear and concrete support for the strengthening of ties between Georgia and the European Union," said Charles Michel.
According to him, in these difficult times, support is important.
