There are some rumors about the fifth wave of Covid-19 in different countries, but at this stage, it is too early to talk about it in Georgia, - said the Minister of Health, Ekaterine Tikaradze.

"The epidemiological situation in Georgia is stable, but it is important that along with the launch of transport, citizens follow the recommendations issued by the Ministry of Health. As for the fifth wave, there is some talk about it in different countries, but at this stage it is too early to talk about it in Georgia.

We have conducted a number of studies on the prevalence of infection. The main risk carriers are citizens over 60 and patients with chronic diseases. Their vaccination is very important because in case of infection they need hospitalization and placement in the ICU. The lethality rate is also high," Tikaradze said.

The Vaccination Campaign "Let's Get Vaccinated for Each Other" is supported by the World Bank's Covid-19 Rapid Response Project.

Vaccination campaign briefings cover all regions and raise public awareness of Covid-19 vaccination issues.
The campaign to combat the pandemic serves to ensure the preparedness of the health sector.
