According to the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia, it seems that the intensity of the second wave of COVID-19 has not been fully assessed.
The Prime Minister notes, that lockdowns are announced in many countries worldwide. However, even countries with good economy and strong healthcare find it difficult to deal with this condition.
"We are pursuing a strategy of point restrictions, but everyone should understand that the healthcare system is not exhaustive in terms of both for technical and human resources. According to the new principles, home and hotel care for patients with light COVID-19 symptoms and management of critically ill patients in the clinic are the only solution.
We must have balance among health, human life and saving the economy and we will continue to do so. The prospect of post-crisis economic recovery is the most important thing we need to do to maintain our economy," Giorgi Gakharia said.
