“If we do not vaccinate over 20-30 thousand citizens per day, it will be very difficult”, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili urges citizens to take COVID-jabs.
“I ask you to actively engage in the vaccination process. 11 thousand citizens were vaccinated yesterday. If the vaccination rate is not increased up to 20-30 thousand per day, it will be very difficult. Today we have reported 2,600 new COVID-cases and this is an alarming rate. It is a very bad trend. On the one hand we want to keep high economic growth and welfare, while on the other – I ask you to take COVID-jabs. It is very easy. If citizens do not support the state, the government cannot do anything. The country has enough vaccine and additional half million doses will be shipped in several weeks”, - the PM said.
According to him, Georgia cannot withstand another lockdown.
