Tbilisi City Hall will acquire 100 buses in addition by the next year, - Kakha Kaladze has declared at today’s government meeting.
According to him, new buses will be added to the existed 650 buses, which replacement process is already launched.
“The municipality acquired 145 new 12-meter buses when Narmania was the Mayor of the city. After that, we have acquired 310 new 8-meter and 10-meter buses. Those buses will be brought late this year “, - Kakha Kaldze declared.
According to Tbilisi Mayor, the goal of acquisition additional 100 buses is to increase bus number on each rout and reduce waiting interval.
“We have districts where public transport is not well-developed, thus one of the main directions of our transport policy to reduce waiting intervals and improve public transport network”, - Kakha Kaladze noted.
