Kazakhstan has significantly increased the export of wheat and gas to the European Union since the beginning of 2022, reports the Ministry of Trade and Integration.
“The growth in exports to the EU states is justified by an increase in the supply of such goods as: crude oil - by 81.2% or $4.6 billion, ferroalloys - an increase of 2.5 times or up to $96.3 million, unwrought aluminum - an increase of 2.5 times or up to $58 million, wheat - an increase of 13.2 times or up to $31.7 million, oil products - by 40.4% or up to $94.6 million, natural gas - an increase of 4.3 times or up to $35.5 million,” said the report.
The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the EU states in January-February 2022 amounted to $6 billion, which is 71% higher than in the same period in 2021.
Export from Kazakhstan to the EU states in January-February increased by 84%, to $5.2 billion, imports to Kazakhstan - by 14%, to $768 million, KazTag reports.
