Shoplifting cases are increasing daily in Georgia for recent months. LTD Chirina and its distribution company Geo Distribution Group became the objects of the juvenile robbery. LTD Chirina owns and operates about 70 commercial outlets throughout Georgia, including Biu-Biu booths.

Giorgi Getsadze, Chirina's lawyer highlights that crime has increased in the country and they are committed in broad daylight. He notes that despite the existence of a supporting document, the investigation still fails.

"The company constantly appeals to investigative bodies and transmits video recordings. In our opinion such crimes can be solved very easily, but we do not still have the concrete results," Getsadze said.

According to him, crime has increased five times this year compared to the previous year and 4-5 cases of robbery are fixed per month this year.

"You take money and equipment from the store, including computers or scales. The cost of the damage reaches 10 thousand GEL in a month and a half. In our case, insurance reimburses us, but this does not solve the problem because it is difficult for us to continue working, when the investigation is underway, consumers cannot enter there, the raw products are spoiled and this is the loss for the company as well. Finally, this case remains uninvestigated," said Levan Tsiklauri, CEO of Geo Distribution Group.

The company demands an appropriate, adequate and effective response from government agencies to conduct investigations and prevent crime as far as possible.
