Mountain and ski resorts are preparing for the winter tourist season for 2023.
Levan Dadvani, the owner of "Lahili" hotel located in Mestia declares, that the price increase will be within 10-15% from 2023.
According to him, visitors from Israel, Thailand and Singapore prevail in Svaneti at this stage.
"We are preparing for the winter season and waiting for tourists. Last year there was a very big problem in terms of electricity, we hope that we will not face the same fact this year, although we do not have accurate information on this issue. Bookings are exactly the same as in previous years, we do not have any special growth at this stage.
Domestic tourism increased significantly in the summer. Now the biggest bookings come from Israel, Thailand and Singapore. Tourist flows have not yet caught up with the figures of 2019 and will probably not fully recover even during the winter season, although they are slowly increasing.
As for the prices, they have not increased much compared to the previous year, although there will be a 10-15% price increase from 2023. At this stage, the cost of standard room for two persons with breakfast amounts to GEL 240," said Dadvani.
