Avto Shavishvili, executive director of E-Space declares, that the service of E-space must not be free in order to support competition increase.

"We came up with the idea to use E-Space chargers more efficiently. So, the service is not fee and client has to pay for it. The service must not be free to make it easier for other players to enter the market. We do not claim to be the only ones on the market”, Shavishvili declares.

Director of E-Space notes, that he knows the company will lose customers when the service no longer is free, but E-Space continues the chain development.

"We allow any company, a cafe or hotel that has a smart charger, to join our app and set their own charging tariff at that particular location," he said.

According to Avto Shavishvili, 2,486 electric cars are registered in Georgia by late December 2020.

Shavishvili explains that the market is growing, but 2020 has affected all industries. The growth of electric vehicles in Georgia was 10-20% down last year, but the industry grew from 20% to 40% globally.
