Transparency International Georgia published a report. According to the report, 17,086,626 GEL was donated to the ruling party Georgian Dream, so the party received 48% of the total donations. Companies connected to the donors of the ruling party received approximately GEL 47 million from public tenders in 2020 (until October 1).

"As for the research, it is the same for the last 5-6 years. As soon as the elections approach, they come out and say that the donors are winning the tenders. If there is such violation, relevant NGOs or other representatives of the civil sector can end it, as there are all sorts of resources for that. If we cannot arrange one problem for years, it means that the problem is less important and someone is using it to create trouble in the pre-election context, or we need more effective civil society in the country," Gakharia said.
