Members of The NBG Board Should Take Responsibility For Draft Monetary-Credit Policy Document – Kovzanadze
“The Supervisory Board of the National Bank must consider Draft Monetary-Credit Policy Document of the National Bank as well. The President of the National Bank and board members should be responsible for this document," – Irakli Kovzanadze, chairman of Budget and Finance Committee declared.
The Chairman of the Committee inquired whether the NBG board members were involved in the development of the document and if they take proper responsibility.
According to Irakli Kovzanadze, in the future the National Bank should take into account the request of the Finance and Budget Committee.
According to the Chair of the Committee, Irakli Kovzanadze, this document is of utmost importance for the country and population as it determines the inflation target indices and other important issues. As the reporter noted, the Draft reflects the inflation indices, monetary policy instruments and possible risks.
