Miners went on strike in Tkibuli town of Imereti region.
The miners protest the decision of the Administration, based on which they will have to contact Minderli Shaft when conducting coal mining, as Dzidziguri Shaft Administration will be abolished.
Miners think that the company plans to reduce the number of employed people noting that ‘the new investor says it needs more than one month for the mandatory check of the rope, while earlier this process needed less than a week.’
The miners claim that it violates safety standards as they would have to move underground through a ventilation tunnel.
