According to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia, up to 15,000 students benefited from the state assistance.

As of the Prime Minister's decree, all students with a social score of up to 150,000 would receive a salary from the government for one semester of 2020-2021.

The Ministry notes, that 14,799 students benefited from this. According to them, they also financed the debt for the spring semester.

Moreover, during the pandemic, higher education institutions were given a recommendation regarding the preferential policy of paying tuition fees to students. Tuition fees at universities have been deferred or a flexible individual payment schedule has been offered.
