Money Transfers In Georgia Up By 22% In November

In November 2021, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 207.3 million USD (650.5 million GEL), which is 22.0% (37.4 million USD) more than the amount in November 2020, - the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reports.

95.1% percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 21 largest partner countries, with the volume of transfers from these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in November 2021. In November 2020 the share of these 21 countries constituted 95.3% percent of the total volume of money transfers.

The largest remittance senders were Russia ($34.40 million), Italy ($32.06 million) and the United States ($23.98 million).

1. Russian Federation - $ 372 million, an increase of 15% y-o-y
2. Italy - $ 348 million, an increase of 31% y-o-y
3. US - $ 258 million, an increase of 31% y-o-y
4. Greece - $ 220 million, an increase of 12% y-o-y
5. Israel - $ 169 million, an increase of 20% y-o-y
6. Germany - $ 102 million, an increase of 54% y-o-y
7. Turkey - $ 96.4 million, an increase of -1% y-o-y
8. Ukraine - $ 84.9 million, an increase of 9% y-o-y
9. Azerbaijan - $ 78.4 million, an increase of 63% y-o-y
10. Spain - $ 50.1 million, an increase of 16% y-o-y
11. Kazakhstan - $ 48.4 million, an increase of 188% y-o-y
12. France - $ 34.2 million, an increase of 37% y-o-y
13. Poland - $ 29.6 million, an increase of 19% y-o-y
14. Kyrgyzstan - $ 25.9 million, an increase of 280% y-o-y
