In June 2021, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 201.9 million USD (638.3 million GEL), which is 19.3% (32.7 million USD) more than the amount in June 2020, - show the data from the National Bank of Georgia (NBG).

According to the report, 94.3% percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 19 largest partner countries, with the volume of transfers from these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in June 2021. In June 2020 the share of these 19 countries constituted 94.7% percent of the total volume of money transfers.

1. Italy – 31.70 million USD; up by 19.3% y-o-y
2. Greece  – 20.21 million USD; up by 1.61% y-o-y
3. Germany – 9.70 million USD; up by 47.50% y-o-y
4. Spain – 4.92 million USD; up by 9.79% y-o-y
5. France – 3.19 million USD; up by 28.29% y-o-y
6. Poland – 2.81 million USD; up by 17.96% y-o-y
7. Ireland – 1.90 million USD; up by 50.70% y-o-y
8. The UK – 1.84 million USD; up by 7.59% y-o-y
9. Cyprus – 1.48 million USD; up by 16.22% y-o-y
10. Russia – 39.08 million USD; up by 24.62% y-o-y.

In June 2021, 26.5 million USD (or 83.7 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, which is 20.8% more as compared to 21.9 million USD in June 2020.
