The Mountain Resorts Development Company today announced the current prices for the ropes for the winter season 2020-2021, according to which the cost of using different ropes does not change this year and remains the same as last season.
"The prices of season tickets for the winter skiing season 2020-2021 are already known! Prices are in GEL (including 18% VAT)," reads the information spread by the Mountain Resorts Development Company, which was followed by mixed reactions on the social network.
BM.GE also inquired why they did not take into account the reality and economic situation caused by the pandemic and why they did not reconsider the cost of the cable car service, to which the company replied that "the price of season tickets will not increase during the 2020-2021 ski season."
"In general, the resort's operation is costly, electricity bills, service personnel, the purchase of equipment on the international market, which is directly proportional to the variability between courses. As well as holding international competitions, which are associated with many costs, "- this is how the company explains the fixed prices for the use of ropes during the ski season 2020-2021.
According to them, the 2020-2021 ski season's opening date is still unknown, and this year it will depend on the weather and the epidemiological situation in the country, but various travel companies write on the social network that the winter tourist season opens on December 13.
