"I have been given opportunity at Shanghai Forum to inform representatives of large logistics companies how much investment is being made by the government in transport infrastructure, including port, railway or land transport. All these large projects, implemented by us, are not considered merely in the context of one country, they have great importance for the whole middle corridor", Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development declared at the forum "New International Logistic Opportunities".
According to the Minister, this information is important for China's largest shipping companies to deliver fright to the European market through this corridor and vice versa to receive European freight to China.
"Today we have clearly seen and convinced in the importance of the Silk Road and Georgian infrastructural projects. The Middle Corridor, which participant is Georgia, is an important part of the Belt and Road Initiative and the historic Silk Road Route", Natia Turnava said.
