No one expects from us the measures that will put the country in danger, but everyone expects solidarity from us towards Ukraine, Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili said in yesterday's video address after meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

According to the President, today the whole of Europe is united and we must become part of this unity.

"Historically, Georgia's dignity has always been, including today, that we have been faithful to our principles and we have stood where Georgia should have been.

No one expects from us the measures that will put the country in danger, but everyone expects solidarity from us, you expect it, I expect it, and this is why I came here today in Paris, tomorrow in Brussels - to express Georgian solidarity with Ukraine. At a time when the whole of Europe is united, we too must become part of that unity.

A new window opens today, where Europeans are ready to look at the future of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova differently. We have to stand here and that's why I'm here.

I want everyone to remember that Georgia, like Ukraine, is one of the countries that will be part of Europe tomorrow. Europe which today has shown its dignity, with unity, with its active support of Ukraine.

We are all grateful today for Ukraine, which is fighting for our freedom, and we do not want another image of Georgia to appear in the international arena. We are a country that has always been faithful to its principles," said Salome Zourabichvili.
