The number of Azerbaijani applicants admitted to Georgian universities in the academic year of 2021-2022 has increased, Report's local bureau informs, citing Georgia's National Certification and Examination Center.
Of this number, 1,033 were admitted on program 1+4 for national minorities. The number of students who received the state grant makes 99.
Compared to the previous year, the number of Azerbaijanis admitted to Georgian universities grew by 116 people. The number of Armenian students admitted to Georgian universities (296 people) is 3.6-times lower than Azerbaijanis.
Most Azerbaijani students will study at Georgian Technical University (338 people), Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (301 people), and Ilia State University (208 people).
