Employment portal HR.GE declares, that labor market got active in the last period and mostly demand is observed in sales, HoReCa, banking/finance, as well as healthcare sectors.

As Inga Shakhbaziani, the regional manager of HR.GE declared, several hundreds of job posts were published in a few days in January.

"This year, on average 300-400 vacancies are posted per day. For example, yesterday we posted 370 vacancies. Demand is mostly from the sales sector, the banking sector, the legal direction, as well as IT sector. All sectors are more or less revived. HoReCa sector vacancies also look stable. The rates are higher than before January.

In total, there are 3231 vacancies on the site now. However, this number is due to the fact that few vacancies were posted in December. We project to have 5-6 thousand vacancies by the end of the month," Shakhbaziani said.

According to the regional manager of HR.GE, as for 2021, March-April was the most active period, when vacancies were at their peak. As Shakhbaziani declared, it matched the period that the HoReCa sector became more active and vacancies were announced very actively.

"In March-April-May, the HoReCa sector announced a record number of vacancies. Overall, only 13% of the vacancies are in the HoReCa sector, but HoReCa's share in the total vacancies has amounted to 23% for three months. The rates were active from May to June. In September-October, the number of vacancies were stabilized, and in December it decreased, as it happens every year," - said Shahbaziani.

According to her, the number of vacancies has increased by 48% in 2021 compared to 2020.
