Out of 578 new coronavirus cases, 416 are linked to Adjara, 72 to Tbilisi, 44 to Imereti, 23 to Samegrelo Zemo-Svaneti, 10 to Kvemo Kartli, eight to Guria, three to Samtskhe-Javakheti, one to Kakheti, and one more to Shida Kartli, said Marina Endeladze, the director of the boxed ward of the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
Marina Endeladze noted that, at this stage, among 4 077 coronavirus patients, 45 are in a critical state, of those, 43 have been put on artificial respiration. 9 of 43 are from Russia-occupied Abkhazia.
Georgia has reported 578 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) today, bringing the total number of infected people to 8 696.
375 patients recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of cured persons to 4 619.
Two more patients died of coronavirus in Georgia. The virus-related death toll stands at 52.
