According to Paata Imnadze, Deputy Director of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, the mask-wearing measure should be respected as much as possible.
As Imnadze stated, the possibility of getting infected can be decreased to almost zero once both the diseased and healthy individuals wear a mask.
"We should respect the mask-wearing measure as much as possible. If the mask is worn by the infected person, it decreases the chance of spreading the virus to a large extent. If it's worn by a healthy person the possibility of the spread is decreased in this case too. But, if both of them wear it - both the infected and healthy - then the chance of infection is almost put at zero. Due to this, there is a recommendation to wear a mask; naturally, it doesn't concern the houses and outdoor areas where we can keep the distance", - stressed Paata Imnadze.
