Parolees in Georgia will not be required to visit probation offices until April 14 after the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the outbreak of the China-born Covid-19 virus a pandemic, Georgia’s Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani stated earlier today.
"Mandatory appointments with a probation officer, social worker or psychologist have been canceled until April 14”, said Tsulukiani.
Tsulukiani also said that special meetings of family members with prisoners have been prohibited temporarily, though they will receive financial support from the Ministry of Justice in order to make phone calls to family members.
