Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili declares that Georgia will have its first doses of COVID-vaccine soon. Garibashvili made this statement before the government session.

"You know that I am personally involved with vaccine companies, as well as partner countries, and we are expecting that the first doses of the vaccine will arrive soon, as the Minister told the public. However, before vaccination, it is very important to be careful in order to avoid re-imposition of restrictions," - said Gharibashvili.

According to the Deputy Minister of Health, Tamar Gabunia, Georgia will receive the first batch of Pfizer COVID-vaccine from COVAX platform by March 22. In addition, the country is also waiting for AstraZeneca vaccine. The Ministry of Health says that the first doses of the vaccine will be enough for the healthcare workers.
