Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili appointed Zurab Azarashvili as the new Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia. Georgian PM has announced it today.
Zurab Azarashvili has been holding the position of Deputy Defense Minister from February of this year until now. Earlier he served as the general director of State Military Scientific-Technical Center Delta.
Zurab Azarashvili has many years of experience in the field of finance - he started his banking career with TBC Bank in 2010 and continued to work as Commercial Director of Terrabank until 2020. In 2003-2008 he worked in Cartu Bank.
Zurab Arazashvili will replace Ekaterine Tikaradze in the post. Ekaterine Tikaradze announced her resignation on December 9, 2021.
