On Sunday, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili attended the opening of the Wine Days festival in Telavi.

Within the scope of Wine Days, Georgian wine tasting sessions and a wine fair were held in the courtyard of King Erekle’s Palace.

A food court was also arranged to treat guests to traditional dishes prepared by local cooks.

In addition, a procession of costumed actors was held as part of the event, and so were masterclasses in painting with wine and ceramic painting. Tours to Telavi’s wineries were also organized within the scope of the festival, and an interactive exhibition—8,000 Years of Continuous Tradition—was held.

The first day of the Wine Days festival in Telavi will conclude with a gala concert.
