In Georgia price of the mobile internet has decreased. According to GNCC, as of August 2020, 1 GB internet on average costs 1.12 GEL. One year ago, the same amount cost 2.31 GEL.
In parallel to prices coming down, Georgia faces growing number of users as well as internet traffic itself. If in 2019 53% of users utilized mobile internet, in 2020 this share has reached 59%.
Looking further at the mobile internet traffic, it has grown by 106% and reached 19.2 thousand terabytes in 2020. Usage of mobile internet per user is also on rise reaching 7.1 GBs on average. In 2019 it was just 3.7 GBs per month.
Total users of Internet mobile in Georgia are close to 3 million.
