“Profit margin may be regulated to the Pharmaceutical companies", Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze declares.
According to her, along with the citizens, the department has questions about pricing and it will be possible with introduction of "proper distribution practices".
“In the medical service, it is important for the citizens to have high quality, safe medical service. Our priority will still be quality and then price regulation, which will also be in line with international standards.
Many factors affect the price, but the most problematic thing for us is that the profit margin that pharmaceutical companies have is unknown. To stop talking about it and answer the questions is to use the right distribution practice, which is transparent. It will become clear what percentage will be added to the medicine after crossing the Georgian border.
The profit margin is regulated in every country, so it can be regulated in Georgia as well”, Tikaradze said.
