President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov brought their water to the summit in Astana.
According to photographs distributed on Thursday by Akorda's press service, almost all leaders of the countries participating in the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) were served Turan water at the summit in Astana, but two presidents made an exception to the protocol.
In particular, the President of Russia preferred the French Evian to Kazakh water, which, probably, anti-Russian sanctions did not apply, and Putin prefers the European product.
Zhaparov, in turn, preferred another water - judging by the photo, this is Tien-Shan Legeng, which is produced in Kyrgyzstan.
All other guests, including Deputy Head of China Wang Qishan, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, as well as Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan preferred Kazakh water, KazTag reports.
