Real wages of Russians in April 2021 increased by 7.8% compared to April last year and by 2.5% compared to March of this year, according to Russian Statistics watchdog data.
In January - April 2021, real wages increased by 2.9% on an annualized basis. The average monthly accrued wages of employees of organizations in April amounted to 56,614 rubles ($776) or + 13.8% in annual terms. In January-April, nominal wages rose by 8.6% on an annualized basis, TASS reports.
Earlier, the Statistics service reported that real wages of Russians for Q1 2021 increased by 1.6%. According to the latest forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, in 2021 real wages in the Russian Federation will grow by 2.2%.
