The number of high-paid people in Georgia have increased. A total of 697 people have received monthly revenue over GEL 100, 000 or US$ 36,700 in June 2022. Their total income amounted to GEL 252,131,978 or US$ 92.5 mln.
The number of Georgians with monthly income of over GEL 100, 000 last June stood at 538. Monthly comparison for June 2022 and June 2021 shows that the number of well-paid persons in Georgia has increased by 29.5%.
A total of 902, 000 people in Georgia have received salary in June 2022. The number is by 31,000 or 3% more as compared to the prior-year. Total salary budget received by the mentioned employees amounted to GEL 1.65 bln ($605 mln). Average gross salary amounted to GEL 1,837 or $ 674.
Over half of employees or 465 000 Georgians have monthly salary below GEL 1,200 or $440. Number of workers with monthly compensation over GEL 1,200 is 437 000 out of which 33,300 have over GEL 6,000 or $2,200.
