Businessman Tsezar Chocheli, chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC Georgian Beer Company gives Giorgi Gakharia’s resignation maximum score out of 10 points.

As he said, Giorgi Gakharia was the best business ombudsman, although recently decisions were directed against the business.

"When we talk about Giorgi Gakharia, it would be better to start from the time when he was a Business Ombudsman. He was one of the best Business Ombudsmen. As for the Prime Minister, he was in power amid the pandemic. With his resignation, he leaves the business in a hard condition, but as for the decision, it is a worthy choice. It became clear that he thought differently from those who supported much tougher measures against the united opposition," said Tsezar Choceli.

The businessman considers that Gakharia, as a Business Ombudsman, constantly tried to communicate with the business, but recently decisions were made against the business, as amended laws already hindered the businesses.

"There are quite difficult challenges for business, the main business sectors are on the verge of bankruptcy. The business is stagnant and probably it will take years to recover. The final solution is to hold early elections and elect a government that will be able to pull the country out of this crisis," said the businessman.
