"I hope that Kutaisi Airport will be will be the first by the infrastructure as well," said Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.
"It is a very honorable place for Kutaisi International Airport, which remains under the management of the state, to be such a successful one, the growth rate of passenger traffic is really high and this has been supported by our policies including the introduction of low-cost airlines and the expansion of existing low-cost flights. We have introduced Rainier in 2019; Wizzair has virtually doubled its flights to Europe, and this is the result. We are finishing construction of a new terminal in the fall of this year and I hope that Kutaisi Airport will be the first by the most advanced infrastructure”, Turnava said.
