"Opening of sectors should be planned together with the business" – Deputy Economy Minister

Several rallies held over the past week reached partial results. The point is that the issue of gradual opening of businesses was discussed at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.

According to the agency, under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Irakli Nadareishvili, a meeting was held with the heads of restaurants, hotels, mountain resorts, distributors and trade associations. Acting Business Ombudsman Nino Kvetenadze also participated in the meeting.

According to Deputy Minister Irakli Nadareishvili, opening of various sectors should be planned and discussed with the business operators. The parties considered those stages which might be used after February 1 in order to finally open the business fully and keep the industry operating as usual.

“The Ministry of Economy is in constant work with representatives of various fields. This process will continue in the future until the tasks we have set together in terms of starting a business are implemented," said Deputy Minister Irakli Nadareishvili after the meeting.

The agency notes, that the decision of the government and the interagency council to ease the restrictions from February 1 was positively assessed at the meeting. At the same time, business representatives have high hopes that the process will continue.
