Profit drop pace of the last three years is stopped, - Davit Peradze, general director of Georgian Railway told Business Morning.

As the General Director of Georgian Railway notes, cargo turnover is up by 8.5% this year compared to 2020 and Georgia ranks first in the region.

“Cargo turnover is grown by 9% in 2019, which hit a record high in the last years. Such growth has not been observed in the region. The company had a growth of 6% in the first two months amid the pandemic, while the increase of 2% was observed late in the year.

KMPG Audit Service has carefully studied the cargo turnover of the company. Despite the losses in the last years, the audit service has noticed a positive trend in the company. The dynamics of cargo turnover has changed, increasing by 9-10% on average, and this is quite a high rate. " - said the General Director of the Georgian Railway.
