Ukraine is planning to join the EU's roaming space and the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) in the near future, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this at a government meeting, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Two other integration projects that we are actively promoting […] are Ukraine's accession to the EU's roaming space and the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA)," Shmyhal said.

According to him, the first project will help make calls between the EU and Ukraine at no extra cost and will allow Ukrainians to use mobile internet at home rates. The second project - Ukraine's accession to the Single Euro Payments Zone - may be implemented in the summer and will help make transfers in euros without any fees.

"We are actively implementing European rules in virtually every sector of the economy and public relations," he said.

He said that Ukraine's accession to the EU is the country's key geopolitical goal for the coming years, and it does not take 15 years.

SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) is a euro payment area that allows users to make card transfers to more than 30 European countries, including Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy and other countries.
