German low-cost airline Eurowings, which is part of Lufthansa Group, is considering launching regular operations in the direction of Georgia. The airline has already officially applied to the Civil Aviation Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia for a permit for regular air traffic.

"It is gratifying that we are not only returning to the old air carrier companies, but also adding new participants. Eurowings has officially expressed its desire and appealed to the Civil Aviation Agency that in the summer, Tbilisi - Dusseldorf - Tbilisi direction flights will be launched. Following the revival of tourism, we expect new airlines to join the Georgian market," said Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.

It should be noted that from July 21 of this year, Eurowings will operate Dusseldorf-Tbilisi-Dusseldorf flights. Flights will be operated twice a week on Airbus 320 aircraft.
